#2 The commitment choice.. Be passionate enough to succeed

#2 The commitment choice….. Be passionate enough to succeed.

Commitment requires passion
Commitment isn’t as simple as being able to check off what we’ve accomplished toward our goal. It’s a choice, an attitude. It believes that what we are doing is important enough to stay the course.

Why commitment fades
Isn’t it interesting how our commitment tends to fade over time? We have great intention, but something takes precedence over our time and commitment, and we lose our focus. Chances are, we were more interested than committed to reaching those goals. We weren’t passionate enough to follow through to the end of the journey.

Commitment begins with WRITTEN GOALS.
Most people do not write down their goals. They are interested in accomplishing them but not committed to state them clearly. If you want to reach your goal, you have to mentally see the goal and then physically write the goal.

Degrees of commitment
Surrounding yourself with others who choose commitment and passion, you’ll find yourself making more progress. Why? Because we tend to feed off those with similar goals and commitment levels.

How powerful are you?
Do you find yourself on the brink of a commitment, and you just can’t take the leap?
The reality is this: most people don’t have a clue about how powerful they really are. They’ll never find out until they choose to move beyond being interested and make a commitment to give what they consider the impossible a shot.

What is passionate commitment?
Attributes of people who have passionate commitment:
They do what they say they’ll do because they have made the commitment to do it. You can count on them every time.
They believe so strongly they can achieve a goal that they can envision themselves crossing the finish line. They can vividly see success.
They write and verbalize their commitments.
They’re realistic. They don’t over-promise and under-deliver.
They invest in achieving their goals. Education, practice. When they commit, they invest.
They plan their lives around their goal.
They don’t understand the term “fail” they think it means “one step closer to success”

Do you posses any of these attributes? Of course you do.

The difference between those who achieve their goals and those who set them aside is the choice of commitment; being passionate enough to succeed.

Three things you can do to make the COMMITMENT CHOICE:
1. Stay the course. If your goal is worth committing to, it is worth the price that comes with passionate commitment.
2. Surround yourself with people who are equally committed and passionate.
3. Clarify your commitment. Put your goals into works, and then begin making your commitments a reality.

Always be able-to-answer in fewer than twenty words what you want to accomplish in the next two years.
