Soooo What is Next for the Stratford Adventure Team??

We have finished the cabin adventure land. The trails are made, the swings are swinging, the TeePee is Peeing, the fort is forting... and so on and so on... Now you all just need to come up and play. I will have photos next week. Madie, Kevin and Mav all say it is great. Even Grandma is happy.

So what is next??? How about water skiing? I will try to get the boats up and running soon, OK!

What a GREAT B'Day

What a great way to celebrate a Birthday for an OLD Man.... with your Grand kids and family. On Friday Brian-Maverick and the old man went on a Father + Son outing. We went fishing at the Cold Spring Fish farm and then to Camp Lomondi, near North Fork. I bought us all the same hat and we had such fun. Mav is quite the outdoors man. He loves camping and playing in the mountains. I then got to tend Kevin. The first thing he did when we got to my house was to head to the ATVs. He walks over and starts to climb up. So we went for a ride around the neighborhood for an hour. He just loves riding them.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday party. I love being with all of you.

February 2006:

Welcome Home Elder Stratford! I just love this picture! It was taken at the airport right after the long "haven't-seen-mom-for-2-years" hug, Shane looked over at the rest of us (all wearing cowboy hats, may I remind you) and his smile was just HUGE. As you can see. What a happy little missionary man! Glad you made it home Shane. It's good to have you around. And the addition you have brought to the family since then is pretty great too;)

Doc Stratford Honored at Ogden Surgical Meeting

Dr. Keith Stratford Honored Friday, May 15th, I had the honor of speaking at the Ogden Surgical-Medical Meeting about my Dad. Great Grandpa Stratford. He was honored at the meeting as a past president [1969] and being one of the oldest members of the association. He attended the first meeting in 1946 and has attended most all the meetings since then. I spoke at the meeting to about 100 members about his life and medical practice. When I was done, he stood to a loud round of applause . Many old time members and associated, greeted him and wished him well.Dr. K Stratford was very accomplisted and served his patients well. He also served his community and was a great leader. I am making a short video and narative about this event, that will highlight his life.

Pre-training for TUBE WARS!

WANT AN EDGE OVER "THE DAN" THIS SUMMER DURING TUBE WARS!? NEED A WAY TO CATCH UP TO HIS P90X TRAINING? WELL I HAVE A PLAN....

Okay so here is the dealio... Mariel has started a little competition that I think sounds GREAT! Mainly because there is $$$PRIZE MONEY$$$$ INVOLVED... And it may even result in a rocking HOT body! You know you are all interested! Here's the details...

It’s based on earning points every day and submitting them to a blog for everyone to see (very motivating)! Everyone that wants in will need to donate 20 bucks to the winner’s pot! You have until May 20 to pay up and the competition starts May 24 and goes until August 1st.


You can invite friends to join too. Just send them this email. Anyone that hasn’t notified Mariel and paid by May 20th will not be included. So, get back to me or Mariel as soon as possible!

Feeling sluggish? Fat? Dreading swimsuit season? Want to be healthier? Let’s work together, motivate each other, and have a little competition! It’s great motivation! Not only because you could win money, but you have to report your points weekly for everyone to see! You don’t want to look like a bum!

Here’s how it works: All contestants will need to donate $20 bucks to the pot to be involved. There are 10 points to be earned each day, Monday through Saturday. Sunday is a free day, with no exceptions. The total you can earn in a week is 60 points. All points are to be emailed to Mariel every Sunday and they will be posted by Monday on a blog (made specifically for this competition). For every day after Sunday that you send in your points, you will lose a point. So, make sure you email them over on Sunday!

Here is a breakdown of the points:

No Sugar – 1 point

No Unhealthy Snacks – 1 point

Healthy & Correctly Portioned Breakfast – 1 point

Healthy & Correctly Portioned Lunch – 1 point

Healthy & Correctly Portioned Dinner – 1 point

Take Multi-Vitamin – 1 point

No Food After 8:30 p.m. – 1 point

Exercise 45 minutes – 2 points

Drink 64 oz. Fluid (No Sugar!) – 1 point

Total = 10 points daily

You will also have 10 bonus points that can be used throughout the competition for those days where you are really struggling. You will need to report any bonus points used in your Sunday email. Any unused points will be added to your final score at the end!

There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. The first prize winner will get 50% of the money, 2nd place will get 30 %, and 3rd will get 20%. Everyone will get a healthier/sexier body!

The competition will start May 24th and will run for 10 weeks until August 1st. All money is due by May 20th. You can mail your payment to:

The blog I will set up is a place that everyone will be able to post to. Not only will you see everyone’s points posted there, but you can offer some suggestions on things working for you, recipes you love, motivating thoughts, questions for the contestants, etc.

Obviously, a big factor in this competition is honesty! Don’t join if you don’t think you can be honest!
